I replaced the front brake callipers but when i wanted to brake it went tough so i cleaned the handle.
Since then my electric starter doesn‘t work any more i‘ve a new battery 2 day‘s old. The kickstart goed in 2 kicks and it‘s running like a kitten (pussykat).
Is the button broken or is the connection broken???
Any Ideas?

hello,
did you hear any noise when you push the start button?
the starting motor is a black can under the variomatic with ca. 30cm diameter the must be two kables there you can measure if power comes in when somebody else push the start button!
when no power comes in its an electric problem in the start button or in the brake button (you must pull the brake to start) or a cable is broken! if power comes in it could be an mechanic problem with the starting motor or the starting motor is defect.
when it is a problem with the starting motor you must take of the variomatic cap, there is under the thoothed wheel in front a little toothed wheel! this is the staring motor! controll if the thoothed weel from the starting motor is going to rotate when you push on the start button!
try this and write down here whats happend when you execute this things.
sorry for the bad english
best wishes sascha |

It did make a noise but now it no longer does.
I can start it with the kickstart so the problem isn‘t the starter,i suspect the connector must lose or the cable |

the kickstart is a mechanical starter, he has no contact with the starting motor!this are two diffrent systems! when your batterie is ok i think it is a problem with the starting motor. its very inprobable that its a problem with the button or the cable in my opinion! |
